Warcrab at The Junction, Plymouth

Friday, January 26

Formed in late 2010 on a road trip to see Crowbar, six piece Plymouth band Warcrab draws on influences from Death Metal, Black Metal, Stoner Metal and classic bands like Black Sabbath.

After a few line-up changes 2011 saw the band concentrate on writing material and honing their sound, with only one rule in mind – to make it heavy. The end of 2011 saw the recruitment of Kane Nelson on vocals, who’s lyrical and vocal style has given the band a new dark intensity. In 2012 the band played their first live show and instantly established themselves on the local scene. Without even taking a breath Warcrab also released its incredibly well received self titled album at the end of 2012.

Warcrab have earned themselves a reputation of being purveyors of pure un-adulterated sonic brutality that doesn’t reek of any particular genre. It’s simply stripped down, no frills metal.
