11 April – 24 April 2022
Colour in your very own wildflower to see them come alive in the Market Hall immersive dome and re-wild our virtual city with green spaces and wildlife. As more flowers emerge, bees, insects and other pollinators will begin to thrive!
This interactive immersive experience has been developed in collaboration by Real Ideas and Pollenize CIC as part of Seeds For Schools, a crowdfunded project to equip every school child in Plymouth with a free packet of wildflower seeds; that’s 36,000 eco-heroes! Bring your child to the Market Hall immersive dome to see how their own small contributions can create huge positive impact for pollinators and our planet.
All colouring sheets and pencils are provided.
A number of sessions also include a live reading of ‘Ziggy’s Frightening Flight’, a popular children’s story book. It tells the story of Ziggy the honey bee to highlight the global problem of habitat loss and the relationship between humans and wildlife. Stunning artwork captures the imagination of young readers and brings to life a very real threat to our world. Find out more about the story here.
Live Storytelling is only available on Monday 11th, Tuesday 12th, Wednesday 13th, Thursday 14th, Tuesday 19th, Wednesday 20th, Thursday 21st, and Friday 22nd April for both sessions.
On the 21st of April, we will also be joined by a volunteer who will be signing the storytelling in British Sign Language!
Arrival and Admission – Please make sure you have your ticket to hand, ready for check-in. We cannot guarantee entry into events for late arrivals.
