Plymouth Armed Forces Day

Plymouth Armed Forces Day, in association with Babcock, will return on Saturday 29 June 2024, on Plymouth Hoe.

Armed Forces Day is a fantastic opportunity for everyone to come along and show their support for the men and women who make up the Armed Forces community from currently serving troops to reservists, veterans, cadets and their families.

This exciting family day is packed with displays, parades, military equipment to explore, a thrilling arena programme, live music and much more.

Don’t miss the Rehabilitation Triathlon, hosted by the Royal Navy Recovery Centre Hasler

The Rehabilitation Triathlon, hosted by the Royal Navy Recovery Centre Hasler, sponsored by AECOM and The Royal Marines Charity, is a Tri-Service adaptive event for Service Personnel on recovery duties and Veterans.

​The Triathlon, which takes place on Thursday 27 June 2024, will start with a swim in the art-deco Tinside Lido. The cycle will take cyclists on time trials across the Hoe and along Hoe Road and Citadel Road then returning back onto the Hoe promenade via Osborne Place. This is a slightly different route to 2022. Athletes will then move onto static rowing machines, before crossing the finishing line.​

​It is expected that 200 participants from the UK Tri-services and veterans will attend this event, along with International teams from the United States Marine Corps’ and Royal Netherlands Marine Corps’.
