Memory Exchange History Group

Come along to our history group to hear talks from local historians Richard Fisher and Karen Moore.

This group is linked to Dr. Alan Butler’s group, Plymouth Community Heritage Network. Alan will give a brief chat about the latest developments and opportunities in that network.

Karen Moore is an Independent heritage researcher and member of the Plymouth Community Heritage Network. She is a Postgraduate in Social History – her specialism being her hometown of Plymouth, in particular swimming in Plymouth. Karen will share with us some of her ongoing research into the history of swimming in Plymouth: Teaching the Plymouth Mermaids:

Richard Fisher is a renowned local historian, known for his unique insights into Plymouth, especially Stonehouse. He’s an active member of Walks with History, as well as his own historical history walks. He’s well known for collecting historical memorabilia and giving talks from his extensive knowledge of local and national historical perspectives. Richard will give a talk about his latest findings.
