Make Letterpress Posters on our Historic Albion Printing Press

Discover the age-old craft of composing type and using vintage wood fonts to print a poster, short phrase, or lines of your favourite poem.

Join Alan Qualtrough for a morning or afternoon printing session using our recently restored 19th-century Albion press at Ocean Studios. Discover the age-old craft of composing type and using beautiful vintage wood fonts to print a poster, short phrase, or lines of your favourite poem.

Sessions are held on the first and second Thursdays of each month between 10:00-noon and afternoon 13:30-15:00 and are suitable for absolute beginners or those with some experience in print-making techniques.

The price of £35 includes all materials such as inks, paper, tools, and equipment.

Alan is an experienced wordsmith, former newspaper editor, graphic designer, and letterpress printer. He runs a well-equipped printing studio in Ocean Studios and is happy to help with your projects.
