Lino Printing with Claire Armitage

Saturday, September 9

Monthly lino print workshop with Cornish artist Claire Armitage.

These monthly lino print workshops are perfect for complete beginners or those wanting to improve their skills. No previous experience or drawing skills are needed.

Each session will gradually build your skills and confidence, it’s also fine to just drop into individual sessions as a taster.

You’re welcome to along a sketchbook or scrapbook of ideas, but there’s no need to do any preparation, just bring an open mind and creativity.

Claire will begin by creating monochrome lino prints, to help you gain confidence with the tools and printing processes.

You’ll explore how to create multi coloured prints, with techniques to ensure accurate registration of each colour layer.

There will be the opportunity to experiment with techniques such as mono-printing to create painterly expressive backgrounds for your lino prints.

All equipment and materials will be provided and advice is available should you wish to purchase your own resources to develop your work further.

Monthly dates: 13th May, 10th June, July 8th, Sept 9th, Oct 14th
