How to photograph your work – with Joanne Dorothea Smith

Run by photographer Joanne Dorothea Smith, it will look at all aspects of photographing your artworks at home and in the gallery, and is aimed at artists and craftspeople. We will look at how to photograph a range of different artworks including paintings, sculpture, installation and moving image.

We will cover the following topics:
– Photography basics
– Composition
– Natural lighting
– Basic editing, including using free software
– Using a tablet or mobile phone to photograph your artwork
– Photographing in a galleryPlease bring your camera, mobile phone (with camera) or tablet with integrated camera and we can work with them to show you how to take a variety of images. If you have a small item you would like to photograph, please bring it along. This workshop is for any level of photography experience.

There will be a lunch break and afternoon tea break. You are welcome to get your lunch from the Cafe or alternatively bring your own lunch. CAMP will provide juice and water.

Tickets are £13 for CAMP Members, £40 for non-members
