Christmas Art Workshop – Bundle Dyeing

If you are passionate about sustainability, want to create something unique and relish the spectrum of what the natural world offers up, this natural dye workshop is just for you. Bundle dyeing is an easy way to transfer beautiful colours onto fabric. Within this workshop you will learn how to naturally dye fabrics with kitchen waste, plants and vegetables, using this simple and easy natural dye technique.

This workshop is an introduction to bundle dyeing where you will naturally dye 2 string tied cotton bags, a bottle tote bag and a Christmas stocking with the aim of creating exciting projects and a fun alternative to wrapping paper. You will learn this simple technique but also learn how to modify your products further and other natural dyeing tips and tricks.

The workshop is £45 per person.

What’s included:
– 2 Pre-mordant cotton bags
– 1 – bottle tote bag
– 1 Christmas stocking.
– All the materials to natural dye with including a varied amount of dried flowers/botanicals/vegetables/food waste. If you have a specific flower or botanic that you want to try dyeing with, you are welcome to bring it along

Please note that the material you will be using is pre-mordanted and washed before the class.

This workshop is aimed as an introduction to bundling dyeing, however, anyone who has a love for natural dyeing is welcome to join.

This workshop is suitable for ages 10 years and older, under 16 years must be accompanied by someone over the age of 18.
