Celebrate respect history project and memory exchange history group

Saturday, July 30

Since February 2022, WonderZoo has been working away at a National Lottery funded history project that aims to record and archive the Plymouth Respect Festival since 1998. It’s called ‘Celebrate Respect History Project’ and is running for 2 years with the purpose of collecting 100 oral history interviews, as well as digital and physical artefacts from the Respect Festival.

As part of this project, we will be running a monthly history group called ‘Memory Exchange’, where history enthusiasts from Plymouth and beyond can gather to give talks about their historical interests. Memory Exchange will be held on the last Saturday of each month at the Oasis Project, Stonehouse. These sessions are free to attend and are a great opportunity to learn more about local history and make friends. Come along to our first one on Saturday 30th July, 10am-12pm.
