Devonport Playhouse

The Devonport Playhouse has been home to the Plymouth Theatre Company (formerly the Plymouth Amateur Operatic Company) for more than 30 years, though originally a Methodist Church Hall.

The Playhouse holds a seated capacity of over 300 people and is regularly rented out to visiting theatre and dance companies for their performances. The Playhouse offers a warm and friendly environment for groups of all ages and experience to ‘tread the boards’ in a lovely, little fully equipped, working theatre.

Formed in 2004, the Plymouth Youth Theatre group are based in the Playhouse alongside their older peers.
