Thrilling dinosaur experience coming to Plymouth

Dinomania, a fun-filled interactive dinosaur experience, is coming to Plymouth next year.

The exciting event is aimed at children aged 2 to 12 and takes place at YMCA Plymouth on 17 April 2022. There are two sessions to choose from each day (11am and 2pm).

During the experience, little ones can check out the mini-museum with real fossils, replicas and loads of fascinating facts. The exhibit includes items from all your favourite dinosaurs, like the T-rex, Raptor, full sized Triceratops, and Ankylosaurus. But be warned – the incredible model dinosaurs are large and realistic, so there is a mild scare factor – keep this in mind when booking your place.

Dinomania is a small, Welsh, family-run dinosaur education company where the owner and lead Ranger, Chris has an extensive dinosaur knowledge and wants to share his enthusiasm with dinosaur enthusiasts all over the UK.

Ranger Chris and the team have limited numbers to 200 tickets per session to ensure the session is interactive and fun filled.

People attending will be able to speak with Chris and the other rangers from Dinomania, who will teach you and your children everything you need to know about these amazing creatures.

Meet and greets will be available for the baby dinosaurs held by rangers – you’ll be introduced to Trixie the baby Triceratops, Nibbles the baby Raptor, and even a cheeky Pteranodon.

Any brave Jurassic Park enthusiasts can meet the bigger, lifelike walking dinosaurs, including Ronnie the Tyrannosaurus Rex, Nancy the Raptor and Millie the full sized Triceratops. There are many real fossils as well as replica items, which the children and adults alike enjoy.

Tickets are £15 per person, with under-twos free, and are on sale now.

Throughout COVID the company has tried to stay in the limelight on social media from making funny TikToks, to YouTube bedtime stories, to ensure the dinosaurs don’t go extinct once again. Ranger Chris & Ronnie the T-Rex have gained over half a million YouTube subscribers, and 1.4million followers on TikTok. In 2021 the ‘Dinomania Educates’ tour sold out over 90 per cent of its shows and got 5* reviews.

Tickets can be purchased on the Dinomania website.

The chosen title of the exhibition, ‘We See You’ responds directly to the generosity of the children in Kabul who agreed to share their art and the meaning they attach to it with distant strangers living very different lives.
