Michael Ball and Alfie Boe performing in Central Park this summer

Two of the greatest voices in the world are on their way to Central Park, Plymouth, on Friday 8 July 2022.

Ball and Boe will be performing hit songs from their debut release ‘Together’, which fast became the UK’s best-selling album of 2016 and beat artists like Little Mix and The Rolling Stones to the Christmas No.1 spot.

‘Together Again’ brought the pair yet another No.1 album in 2017, ‘Back Together’, their third album landed them the No.2 spot, and in November 2020, Michael & Alfie released a collection of Christmas classics (along with a self-penned track from Michael), which, again, topped the Official Albums Chart.

As a duo, they have now sold over 1.5 million albums in the UK, received two Classic Brit Awards, sold out two headline arena tours and presented three ITV Specials.

The promoters of the event, said “We are so looking forward to Ball and Boe joining our spectacular weekend of music in Plymouth, for a sundown of classic hits. The last couple of years has been so challenging and it will be amazing to see everyone ‘Together Again’.”

Councillor Mark Deacon, Cabinet Member for Customer Services, Culture, Leisure and Sport at Plymouth City Council added: “We’re absolutely delighted to see Ball and Boe join the line-up of events taking place in Plymouth this summer. We will  work closely with Grandslam Live to help facilitate an amazing weekend of live music in Central Park from 8 to 10 July, with three global music superstars taking to the stage and bringing incredible entertainment to the people of Plymouth, showcasing our ongoing commitment to the city’s music scene.”

Ball and Boe kick off the weekend on Friday 8 July, and are then followed by the mesmerising Paloma Faith on Saturday 9 July, and then the legends that are Simply Red, joined by Gabrielle, on Sunday 10 July – with the possibility of further artists being announced.

Tickets for the concert go on General Sale on Friday 18 February at 9am, with presale tickets on sale from Wednesday 16 February at 9am.
